Help St. Saviours Angilcan Church continue to do its work for the community.
Kaitaia, Northland
In 1833, with the support of the founding families of Kaitaia, St. Saviours emerged as one of NZ’s earliest churches. The vision was shaped largely by Revd. Joseph Matthews, William Puckey & Iwi chief Nopera Panakareao. Fast forward to today & St. Saviours continues to honour this founding love for Christ, love for the people and loving tikanga-rua relationship.
St. Saviours has evolved over time to meet the growing needs of the community. One innovative example of this is found in its close relationship with Rongopai House Community Trust. Together, we walk alongside families, particularly those facing challenges in their lives, and work to uplift and empower them.
Since COVID 19, many churches have been significantly impacted, and St. Saviours is no exception. In spite of this reality, we have continued to serve Kaitaia the best we can. That said, the strong hope in many respects was that the outreach work, amongst all other efforts of St. Saviours, would at some point translate into much-needed financial relief. Unfortunately, it seems this time is still yet to come.
After much prayer & thought, St. Saviours now asks for your help. We still have much work to do & remain faithfully confident that in the near future, our finances will sort themselves. For now however, we ask that you please consider helping St. Saviours Church in one (or both) of the following:
1 – SHORT TERM via Givealittle
2 – LONG TERM with an Automatic Payment (contact us)
Thank you for your loving kindness.
All funds will be put towards the functions of St. Saviours Anglican Church. This will help support the work of St Saviours in our local community of Kaitaia and the Far North. We offer lifelong support to over 200 families in any given year.
