I don't want to have to wait until I am nearly blind in order to have these cataracts removed and be unable to draw. Please help!

Hi, my name is David and I'm an artist who draws portraits in graphite and charcoal. Earlier this year, I was told I had cataracts which explains why it has become increasingly harder for me to draw. I've been told they are not serious enough for government funding ( you basically have to be blind ... ) and to have them seen to privately would cost about 5 to 7 thousand per eye. Since I already have a lazy eye, I only need to have one operated on to remove the cataract. I can't afford to do this on my own, and I need this operation in order to continue with my skill. See my artwork here and see what I stand to lose without this operation https://www.facebook.com/drawportraits/ . I only need one eye done and in order to continue my art, the cataract needs to come out as soon as possible before it gets worse.
The 7,000 I hope to raise will pay for the cataract removal operation in my left eye. If there is any surplus, I will give it to the Blind Foundation of New Zealand. If I can't raise enough, I will try to get a loan from the bank to cover the rest.
