Upshot Coffee have been serving coffee in Bridle Path Road, Heathcote for the last 10 years. Let's Keep The Coffee Flowing !
Heathcote Valley, Christchurch
Council are concerned that Upshot Coffee is a commercial activity in a rural zone. We have lodged a resource consent application to continue trading and this has come at considerable cost with lawyers, planners and council fees. The community love this gem of a place and this application is supported with a petition signed by over 2,000 who want the existing arrangement to continue.
Upshot Coffee has been an iconic gathering place for both the Heathcote community and the wider area for the last ten years. This colourful, vibrant and eccentric gathering place with it's own personality needs to be saved. The horses, the riders, the coffee, and the rural character all combine to create a wonderful atmosphere that is loved by the community.
Please donate to help our efforts in ensuring that Upshot Coffee can continue to trade in our Community.

Update 24/12/2021 24 December 2021
To clarify where we are at with the resource consent:
5 months ago we applied for permanent resource consent. The council wished to split our application into two applications, we currently have temporary land use consent.
A second application for permanent resource consent is now required and we are working on this at the moment. Thanks for all your support so far.
