Scooterman needs some new wheels! The humble hero of Timaru John 'Scooterman' Watson is in need of a replacement scooter!
Most superheroes fly through the air, have special powers or wear a snazzy outfit, but Timaru has its own Superhero in the form of 69 year old John Watson, or the name he is better known as 'Scooterman'!. John is a modern day Robin Hood on 4 wheels. A genuine do gooder, spreading cheer and good vibes around his South Canterbury community, Scooterman is epitomizes everything good in this world, kindness, honour, loyalty and a fun sense of adventure. Unfortunately this superhero relies on his mobility scooter due to arthritis in his back and both hips with one of his hips seized and other nearly. Just prior to Christmas this year, Scootermans faithful scooter gave up the ghost, after years of loyal service. We are crowdfunding to help John get a new second hand scooter. Give a little back this Christmas to show your love to Timarus best loved super hero!
