Support Scottie's family, his wife Kirsty & new born son, Harrison after losing their husband and father Scottie to cancer.

Auckland

Scottie & his family have taken on the biggest fight they've ever faced.

In November 2018 Scottie was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer at the age of 34 which he has fought valiantly ever since. He was supported by his beautiful wife Kirsty and his wee son Harrison who they welcomed to the world only 4 weeks ago.

Scottie underwent numerous rounds of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments, many of which were not funded under the government Pharmac program. The costs they have faced are beyond the means of any normal family. They have had to sacrifice so much in order to sustain the treatment.

Their lives have been filled with joy in the anticipation of the birth of their son; however it has been a kaleidoscope of emotions as during the final stages of pregnancy, they received news that Scottie's cancer had further advanced. They welcomed Harrison to the world with Scottie managing new and difficult symptoms. When the family arrived home Scottie had to present to A and E the next day and was forced back to hospital 10 days later, having further complications.

Between the aggressive onset of new cancer symptoms and family unable to join them because of Covid19 restrictions, Scottie & Kirsty had not yet married. Scottie's final wish was to marry Kirsty which he achieved at Middlemore Hospital on the evening of the 2nd of July, with close friends and family gathered by his bedside to support their union.

On the 4th of July, Kirsty lost her husband, Harrison, his father, his parents, their son and to others their closest friend.

They have never asked for support and even today, they do not however there are so many friends and family that want a way to help and this is an avenue to do so. In the most recent stages of the fight, their cancer treatments were costing over $10k NZD per month which has seen both of them give everything to this fight but now is the time where they do need your help and support.

Any contribution is greatly appreciated by Kirsty, Harrison and our late husband, father, son and friend, Scottie. They are so grateful for your support.

Thank you
