Please Help Me To Qualify for the Rio Paralympics

    To every single person who donated to my fundraising - no matter how big or small, thank you so much. $11282 has been raised, including generous match funding from Spark for some donations.

    I can now assure you, I am on my way to Milan to seek qualification for Rio 2016 ! Also, my recent fundraising has enabled me to get my para boat - which is essential for my training in New Zealand.

    I promise each one of you that I will do my very best so please follow my journey and feel very much that you are a big part of it.

    Big thanks also to those who made this possible - Give a Little, Spark and my Manager , Fiona Fenwick.

    What can I say....

    When we started this page I never even began to dream that it would attract so many donations and kind wishes from people throughout New Zealand and internationally.

    I am blown away by the support and I can promise everyone that I will be carrying all this good wishes with me to Europe and hopefully beyond.

    You have helped give me this opportunity and I am ready for it.

    It's days like this that you really have to dig deep to get onto the water but it's where I want to be. It's really cold but there's a job to be done and that's what I'm here for.

    Good to have a hot shower and drink after though......brrrrr.

    Today’s update is a very personal thank you to my family who have been my champions through both the good days and the early bad days.

    My Mum and Dad, Michelle and Brent, always try and make my life as easy as possible whether leaving for training very early in the morning or getting home from training late at night. Sometimes it may not come across that i appreciate their help because I get home from a hard day and all I want to do is go to bed but i sure do appreciate everything they do.

    My brothers Luke and Michael, my twin, have kept it real and they deserve my thanks too. I'm very grateful to them both - they’ve always got my back.

    I know how lucky I am to have such great support behind me and today’s update is dedicated to them all. Thank you. S
