Noelle's Journey to NASA

Kia ora, my name is Noelle. I'm 15 years old and live in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. It has been a dream of mine for many years to have the opportunity to attend a NASA Space programme in the U.S.A and to pursue my dream of becoming a Space Scientist.

I would describe myself as passionate about all things space, and I spend many hours reading about space to learn as much as I can. My goal is to study Space Science at University and so next year I plan to study Chemistry, Physics, Earth and Space Science and Math, to prepare me for my future study endeavours.

As part of this journey, I would love to attend the NASA Space School in the U.S.A at the end of 2024.This programme is immersive and experiential and focuses on developing leadership and communication skills through project management, amongst other learning opportunities. I have completed the initial application process and now just need to raise the funds to cover the cost of flights and attending the programme.

I currently work part-time as a swim coach and will be able to use some of these funds towards attending the programme, however I will still need to raise additional funds due to the total cost of the trip.
