Serena Seeing into the Future

Our dear friend, colleague, visual artist, and beautiful generous soul Serena Stevenson has been diagnosed with a serious injury in both her eyes.

NAION is the condition, which is optic nerve swelling, this has happened in both her eyes which has affected her eyesight. It takes a few months for it to settle and for the swelling to go down, and to see how much vision can be restored. Serena has maintained a very positive attitude, but at the same time, it is very difficult and scary for her.

She has spent the last month going in and out of the hospital and doing her own holistic healing, and she has been using alternative healings that sit alongside the medical ones.

Her kind mum has been looking after Jakob full time.

You all know Serena and the incredible energy that she brings to everything she does. The generosity that she brings to her work, often going over and above the call, and the love she brings to her son, family, and many friends. Serena has always been a generous giver and now she needs to be given to.

Serena is an artist, photographer, and film director and she generates her income from being able to see better than she can right now. Being self-employed, and not being able to work at the moment has meant no income. She needs to take the time out to heal and is on a deeply spiritual healing journey.

She will use any donations to help her pay for afterschool care for Jakob, taxis and her general living expenses. And keeping her business and projects alive - something she has worked so hard for and is so passionate about.
