Seth Miller is raising money to attend the Mamba Sports Academy in Los Angeles.
Gisborne
Our son Seth is a Year 10 student at Gisborne Boys High School, and has been playing basketball as his main sport for two years. Seth has represented his school, Gisborne Basketball Assn, and Gizzy Youth Movement/Gizzy Hoops at local, regional and national levels. His team recently placed second at the NZ Maori Basketball Tournament.
We think he's pretty awesome at it, and he devotes himself fully to the game.
His coach offered him an opportunity to play at the EB Tournament last December. This was organised and run by Everard Bartlett, who played for the New Zealand Breakers and founded EB Sport Development. He was seeking players who were showing not only on-court attributes but also commitment to training; leadership skills; and dedication to their sport. They would be given the opportunity of a lifetime!!
Seth has been chosen among 30 other players from that tournament to attend the Mamba Sports Academy in Los Angeles (founded and run by the late Kobe Bryant, R.I.P). This academy covers development of players physically, mentally, and psychologically to build their knowledge, skills and ambition.
This trip is going to cost $14,000 which covers flights, accommodation for Seth and a support person, and 14 days of training at the academy for Seth. It is a huge amount and we are determined to get him there, but WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
Thanks for visiting and donating.
