Sez Nathan of Waiau lost everything in the earthquake on Monday morning, but she is still helping others in her community.
Canterbury
Michael Morrah of Newshub went to Waiau and met Sez Nathan. Her house is one of eight that has been red-stickered and will be demolished in the coming days.
Sez and her three daughters escaped uninjured and her comment regarding the ordeal was "We're lucky. We're blessed". Her only request was for "clean drinking water".
At the time of setting up this page, Sez was out in her community doing food deliveries in borrowed clothes to others although she lost everything. She has been working tirelessly in the kitchen at Disaster HQ.
New Zealand, and further afield, I think we can do better than just provide clean drinking water. Please help me help Sez and her family to rebuild their lives and move on. They have been unable to salvage anything since their home was condemned.
The funds from this campaign will be used for any daily expenses that Sez and her family have, for example rent, power, phone and petrol. Hopefully there will be enough funds to cover clothes, shoes, furniture and any items her daughters require to set up their new home.

Sez's story really touched me, and I felt compelled to help. I looked for a GiveALittle Page, but one hadn't been set up, so this was created.
Thank you 20 November 2016
Sez is completely overwhelmed by your generosity, and her faith in humanity has been restored. Sez is continuing to help others in her community, and is also spending precious time with her daughters. Thank you to you all for your donations and kind words. It's been truly heartwarming. On a personal note, I have made a wonderful new friend in Sez, and we're looking forward to meeting each other one day. Yvonne
