Hi Natalie,
My wife had very mild endometriosis, which was confirmed by surgery. They removed some it but we still could not get/stay pregnant.
We are now expecting our first child in a couple of weeks. We tried for 7 years to make this happen. We did one round of IUI and then IVF. We had 5 embryo implants and they all ended in miscarriages. One survived 10 weeks but sadly we only found out at the 12 week scan.
We ended up seeing a naturopath (near Bayfair) who suggested she takes supplements to help boost the function of her thyroid and adrenal glands. She got pregnant not long after. Go figure!
Have you had surgery to try and repair the damage done by the endometriosis?
Natalie
Hi Charles, I am so so sorry for your incredibly long and emotional journey to start your family. Congratulations for your baby due soon!! You must be ecstatic! Yes I have had one surgery so far which was meant to be a clean up and the dye test to how my tubes are. However once they looked inside things were far worse than they imagined. I had an MRI to see how bad things were and I have been transferred to Waikato to have another surgery in a few months to put things back where they should be. My bowel is currently blocking my ovaries. Then I can start IVF all going well!

Hi Natalie, I'm sorry to hear of your situation and I do understand what you're going through. I just wondered if you had tried Accupuncture with someone who specialises in fertility. It really does help even if you are going down the IVF path, I know of someone who was told they had very few eggs left and started getting Accupuncture and was pregnant within 3 mths.
Natalie
Hi Carina, thank you for your support. I haven't tried Acupuncture, but I will look into that as I have had a few recommendations to try that now :) I have tried Bowen Therapy for the previous 6 months, and although that did help relieve the pain - no baby luck :(
Xx
