    An enormous thank you to all the wonderful folk who have been donating to our give-alittle tree planting campaign! Your gifts have enabled us to have some very useful tree planting sessions this winter, and the animals will benefit in years to come - it's a gift that just keeps growing. We'd also like to invite you to our first working bee of spring :-) All welcome! When: Saturday 11 October (Sunday if wet), from 10 a.m. Where: Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary Otaki Forks Please bring clothing for all weathers, gumboots, sunblock, and vegan treats if you wish. We will be providing a vegan morning tea and lunch! Please RVSP to blacksheepotaki@gmail.com for directions and so we have an idea of numbers for catering.

  • Trees, trees, trees!

    Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to our shelter tree project! We are humbled by the level of generosity and it has been great to be able to do more tree planting, it is a gift that will just get bigger and better every year - and will make such a difference to the animals. An enormous thank you especially to Chloe from Waterloo School who made and sold fudge on our behalf! When the weather improves a bit we will be posting details of working bees here, and we would love you to come out and meet us and the animals!

    Thank you so much everyone! We've raised just over $400 already, nearly 2/3rds of our target. We are so grateful for your generosity, and we are getting ready for some serious digging and planting! Getting more trees in the ground will make a big difference for the animals in future years!
