We have finished the race and achieved far more than we set out too, with 80% of fundraising targets meet and a second place finish in our race delivering us some very sweet cherries on top.

We have had articles in two West Coast papers, on the Godzone race page and an interview with Radio Sport this week, soo good to be getting this in front of many people.
Funds enable us to reach more people and help our communities, but people talking about and thinking about this is the real outcome!
We are now 20% of the way to our target, but lets all remember that targets are made to be broken, would be great to get to $10k too

Great question that one and one we have been fielding a lot, even for those that know roughly what Godzone is there is still a lot of questions when we have been discussing this with friends and family about what it actually involves and where.

This on is based in Canterbury and finishes in Akaroa, after 500km of trekking, rafting, kayaking and biking we will arrive at the finish line, well that is the plan anyway!

You can see a picture of us on one of our training missions below, we are all weekend warriors (very part time athletes) looking to do "Adventure like no other" at Godzone this year.

This is the biggest race of all of our careers to date and has been a massive undertaking of training, costs and commitment.
I just wanted to highlight the costs of this activity, we the four racing along with the support of family and friends have paid for all of the gear, training missions, entry fee and other associated costs to do with this race (likely to be around $10k per team member), none of the funds raised before now or over this campaign will be used for anything but trying to reduce the issue with mental health and suicide here on the West Coast and in New Zealand.

Our campaign is live now, Friday 1 February for eight weeks through until Friday 29 March.
Our funding target is $5,250, which would see $5,000 stay with the charity after GiveALittles 5% comes off.
Any and all funds raised will transparently and accountably stay within delivering on our core aims, 100% of funds raised go directly on delivering these outcomes and nothing is lost on management fees or other none essential spending.
We proudly work with local operators who partner with us to ensure money spent is amplified in value.
