Wear your loudest, proudest & brightest shorts or keep it conservative - it's your choice!
WHO CAN TAKE PART?
The short answer is: ANYONE. In fact, the more people who take part the better and the more fun it will be.
HOW CAN YOU HELP FUNDRAISE?
We encourage businesses/organisations, schools, community groups, aged residential care facilities to encourage their staff or students or members or residents to wear shorts on the day AND in doing so, fundraise for Otago Community Hospice in whichever way is preferred.
Some ideas below:
• Simply ask everyone to wear shorts on Friday 3 July and bring a cash donation.
• Ask your business/organisation’s boss to match the money that you raise
• Run a raffle for a prize (e.g. ask the boss to donate a day off work and raffle it to staff).
For those of you who are not so brave you can still participate by donating & encouraging others to do so too.
SHORT ON SHORTS? No problem just pop in to one of our fabulous Hospice Shops and pick up a pre-loved pair from the ‘Shorts for Hospice’ rack.
By taking part in Shorts for Hospice you will be contributing to our fundraising goal of $2.5million this year.
Life is SHORT, live every moment.
Otago Community Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support to people in Otago who are dying and their families. We support our patients wherever they want to be, and for most of them, that’s at home. We need to fundraise $2.5 million each year to ensure our services remain free.
The funds raised from Shorts for Hospice will go towards our Community Care Teams, providing specialist palliative care wherever patients are throughout Otago
Please help us raise $5k. 4 June 2020
Please join us in our mission by braving the chill and pulling on a pair of shorts in support of your local Hospice.
