Simon needs help to fund his Space Camp opportunity with NASA scientists in April 2020.
Otago
An opportunity to go to NASA on a school science trip, was offered to students last year at his school (Logan Park High School). Simon's excitement about this led him to submit a successful application and begin saving money to pay the $8000 for his place on the trip. He has been working diligently at his part-time job for the past year and has saved up almost $3500. Despite regularly applying for jobs around Dunedin, it has proven quite difficult to find the additional work he needs. He now has only 8 months to earn the remaining $4500.
The opportunity to go overseas with a select group of students from his school, to learn about the NASA space program and be educated by some of the brightest minds on the planet is a once in a lifetime experience. He will get hands on training and learn about the mental, physical and emotional demands faced by astronauts. In addition, the opportunity to work and save money toward a significant goal, such as this, is a great educational experience for him. As a family, we are contributing as much as we can, but he really needs another job and/or some additional financial support to achieve his goal in time.
Simon has a great scientific mind and we would love for him to have this opportunity. We are so grateful for your interest and any support you can offer either as employment, odd jobs or a monetary donation!
I am starting this page to help Simon raise funds for his Space Camp trip next year. Any job offers or donations are very much appreciated!
