Please help Vijeshni Prakash whilst she is incapacitated from work after being diagnosed with tumor (Pituitary Macroadenoma).

Auckland

You work very hard for nominal income and then make a trip to Fiji to arrange for schooling and care for your kids and elderly father. Sounds normal….right !!

On the 2nd day back you start experiencing blurred vision and severe headaches….on the 3rd day back you are seen by an eye specialist who refers you to have a CT scan. You are then told that you could potentially have a Tumor, and in that moment you feel like you are having a bad dream and ……..life stands still.

Vijeshni immediately returned back to NZ to seek further medical advice and potential surgery, and upon consultation was diagnosed with Pituitary Macroadenoma ((a benign tumor of the pituitary gland behind her eyes and nose cavity).

Her surgery took place on the 11th Feb 2019, in Auckland hospital.

Vijeshni does not have any funds to sustain herself and provide for her two kids back in Fiji due to her illness. Adding to her woes is the fact that her kids can not see their mum due to financial constraints. Vijeshni has the support of some family and extended family members in New Zealand, however her biggest concern is no income whilst she is incapacitated and not being able to see her kids and or provide any form of support to them during her recovery which could take anywhere from 6 to 12 months.

Vijeshni Roshni Prakash, 40 years old has been a single mum since 2006, supporting her two kids (Chelsea Romavich 17 and Robben Romavich 15 years old) living in Korotale Village in Rakiraki Fiji. Her kids are with Vijeshni’s aged father, her mum passed away many years ago. Those of you from Fiji will understand that their living can only be described as poor.

In Fiji, Vijeshni was employed at one of the prominent resorts. After Tropical Cyclone Winston, she decided to travel to NZ in April 2016 for employment and work opportunities. Vijeshni secured a job as a carer for an elderly care facility in Christchurch.

Her kids were not able to accompany her due to immigration rules.

We call upon the support of extended family members and friends, colleagues and associates and the wider public to assist Vijeshni and her kids. Whatever your contribution, however big or small will be graciously received by the Prakash family. God bless you and thank you in advance for your generosity and support.

Vijeshni's Progress  26 February 2019

On behalf of Vijeshni and Prakash family we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one for your kindness, support and generosity.

Vijeshni had her surgery on 11/02/2019 and now has been discharged from hospital. She is recovering slowly at home.

As per the doctors reports, 100% tumor had not been removed through surgery due to complexity and risk involved.

Vijeshni now needs to go through Radiation therapy to have the remainder of the tumor removed. This process will begin in 4-5 weeks time.

We again thank you all for your continued support.

God bless
