Siua Togapuna Support & Rehabilitation

Dear all,

I’m just writing to say a huge, huge thank you for your donations to the ‘givealittle’ that my wonderful friend Jess set up for us, it is so completely overwhelming the amount of support that we have received from everyone. Very humbling! It’s like a massive weight has lifted from our shoulders and we can now get to the important business of getting Siua back in tip top health and eventually back to work.

Update on Si's current status so you all know, while he was in hospital they did many tests to try to figure out why this is happening and ultimately make sure that it doesn’t happen again. The cardiologists have found a growth on one of his valves in his heart and they think this may be causing the clots to his brain. They are keeping a close eye on this and will try to resolve it in the most un-invasive way possible.

Si's physical recovery since the stroke has been phenomenal and we are all feeling confident that he will be back to being himself pretty quickly. This has been a really trying time for all of us, without all your support alongside us, help with the kids, checking in on us and the many chats over a glass of wine or cup of tea, we wouldn’t be feeling strong enough to take it all on.

No matter how hard it has been the power of human love and energy will always prevail.
