We're Whai Basketball, and we're dreaming BIG! Our Birch Ave warehouse is ready to become Whai HQ – a basketball youth hub for Tauranga's young players to train, play, and chase their dreams. But first, safety! We need padding on our concrete walls to keep everyone protected. With your help, kids can play hard without fear, and we can unlock a world of new community programs to futher enrich our great city!
About us
We are pursuing a vibrant and socially connected city where young people have their horizon of possibility lifted. Possibilities of education, life experiences, and meaningful work. We do this through our events, programmes and teams.
Use of funds
Before we can open our doors, we need to prioritise safety. $14,000 will cover professional padding for the concrete walls, protecting players from injuries during those intense games.

Its happening! 18 November 2024
Thank you to those who gave towards the padding for the walls at Whai HQ. This week the padding is going up, and it looks great! Just in time too as we host our first Whai Academy Camp at HQ in December. Thank you all - go whai!
