We would like to raise funds for Maria Morgan while she undergoes her treatment to fight her cancer battle.
Canterbury
5 years ago Maria lost her husband Nigel to bowel cancer. They had been married for 25 years and had 6 children together.
Maria carried on working full time while also bringing up her 2 youngest children, aged 8 and 10 at the time of Nigel’s death.
2 years ago Maria was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma and underwent Chemotherapy.
A couple of weeks prior to Christmas, Maria found out that her lymphoma has returned and chemotherapy treatment was promptly booked to start on the 27th December 2017.
Initially her treatment requires her to stay at the hospital for 3 days while she receives chemotherapy 3 hours a day.
After the chemo is complete, she will also be undergoing a stem cell transplant. This has its own complications and requires another 5 days stay in hospital whilst undergoing intense chemotherapy.
Maria is no longer able to work however, she is still managing her day to day life to the best of her ability. She still has her 2 youngest children at home now aged 13 and 15.
I am Maria's daughter in law, Tom Morgans (Maria's son) has asked me to be the payee for this page.
The funds raised through this page will be given to Maria to assist her with her mortgage repayments and to help her keep on top of her bills while she is unable to work. This will help to reduce her stress and allow her to focus on getting better.
