Hey there just an update, sooty has had surgery and is now in recovery ♥️ He won’t be home for a few days and will have to wear the cone of shame for 3 weeks but hopefully now he won’t block again! Fingers crossed! Thank you again to everyone who has helped out so far :-)

I’ll let you know how he is when I visit on Thursday

I'm glad to hear that he is doing well. Hopefully this is the last time he needs to see a vet for a long time. 3 weeks with the cone of shame really sucks :/ but when my cat has needed the cone of shame, i would often take it off him during times when i am around to supervise so that he can have a break from it.

What was the surgery that he had? Was it to enlarge his urinary tract somehow?

Thanks Luke, yeah I’m gonna do the same and take his cone off when I’m around. And his surgery was due to having crystals in his urine and blocking his urethra. So yes enlarged the urethra so now he will pee like a girl lol

Hey everyone, sooty is now needing surgery to fix his blockage problems :-( he was only home 3 weeks and then blocked again :-( anything you can spare will be a huge help as this is not a cheap operation. He is having the operation this afternoon so I will keep you all updated.

Thank you all in advance from myself and sooty ♥️
