Sooty Amadeus Mozart, the white amorphous cat we all know and love has an over active thyroid gland. Hyperthyroidism is common among older cats, but there is a cure! Radioactive iodine therapy will give him a new lease on life and stop the suffering.

Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid glands) is a very common disorder of older cats.
It is caused by an increase in production of thyroid hormones from the thyroid glands, which are situated in the neck.
