Representing NZ at worlds games

My names ocean and fundraising for a worlds inline speed skating trip.

What is speed skating some may ask, it’s racing on tiny sneaker style skates with straight line wheels.

A bit about my skating, I have been skating since I was 4 years old and I am 17 at the moment, I skate for the Manawatu, and my dream has always been to make the world's team and wear the New Zealand Uniform with pride.

My dream has come true with making the team this year in Argentina in October to mid November and I feel I’m ready.

I have been told I could have made the team before now, but I felt I wasn't ready.

I have been a been selected to represent New Zealand at the Oceania champs 3 times now and came away with a 3rd place however, due to covid this event hasn't been able to go ahead for the past couple of years.
