Supporting COOL EARTH (rainforest destruction) and UDAWALAWE ELEPHANT TRANSIT HOME (orphaned elephants)

THE JOURNEY

Every year a mad group out of London called the Adventurists run three legs of a tuk tuk journey which circumnavigates India. I've been invited to join a small group to pioneer their new event in Sri Lanka in May - running from the northern tip of the island (Jaffna) down to the southern tip (Galle/Tangalle) – approx. 1200km – though from my previous experience in Sri Lanka that’s closer to quadruple the travelling distance!

Now all I need to do is to seek sponsors to contribute towards my two chosen charities:

- Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home - an incredible organisation focussed on the rehabilitation of orphaned baby elephants in order to introduce them back to the wild (http://www.eth.dwc.gov.lk/).

We are targeting to raise c.$10,000 plus for ETH

- Cool Earth, an international charity which works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction (www.coolearth.org). We are targeting to raise c.$2000 for Cool Earth – with a minimum of $1000 required for each team.

We are seeking sponsors to support every step of the journey - from 5c per km up to $1 per km - your support will help make a difference.
