Donations for Hine titama's trust fund.

Hi everyone,

This is a give a little page to help our beautiful sister in law Stacey, who in the wake of losing her partner, is now fighting for her own life with terminal cancer..

It will also help our niece Hine-Titama (21 months old), Stacey and my brother Tawhiri Mateas' baby girl..

In 2014 Stacey was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. She endured intensive chemotherapy throughout the year and radiation for 5 weeks, leaving her completely debilitated. In November 2015 the scan looked good and they thought they were in the clear... Unfortunately further scans revealed it was back, and this time it was worse! It has spread to her ribs, lungs, head and liver. Doctors have told her there is nothing they can do and she is now in the process of making herself comfortable unless we can raise enough money to send her overseas for treatment as New Zealand does not have the resources for this type of cancer. There are treatments available to help her live longer. But the cost of them are well in the one hundred thousand mark. Every dollar would help her one step closer to that goal. Our wish for Stacey is to grow old with Hine-titama to have, to hold, to teach right from wrong and have her mother by her side throughout her life. We can't even imagine what she is going through, still grieving the loss of Tawhiri, trying to be strong for her baby and putting on a brave face for everyone..

Tawhiri Matea took his life in May 2016 at just 17 years of age. He was not just my baby brother, he was an awesome father, a promising league player, He made it into most rep teams. His biggest achievement started in 2015 where he got offered a contract to play in the development squad where he was able to attend all their camps etc and would have eventually moved to Australia to hopefully one day play for the under 20 Canterbury Bulldogs. He had a passion for league and wanted to make a better future for his young family. He was a prominent student at Te Aute College well respected and a friend to all. Tawhiri meant the world to us, he was really something special to our family. Made and big impact in all of our lives and we will miss him dearly everyday. Tawh loved his daughter and Stacey so much, we feel his pain in our hearts everyday. it will never be clear to us why he chose to leave maybe him being so young dealing with a lot. All we do know is that god will be with him guiding him on his new journey in heaven. I made a promise to him when he passed that I will always be here for hine-titama and Stacey. Fly high our brother. Rest easy. Amen..

Every donation will make a big difference in Stacey's journey also give her that on step closer to her goal of finding a treatment. Funds raised will help Stacey at this hard time in her life, giving her a chance to live life a little easier with her daughter. It will also go towards a trust for Hine-Titama.
