A double Medical emergency for a Mum and wife causing a significant financial burden for them.
Eltham, Taranaki
I’m Steffy and I am setting up a give a little page for my dear friend Margaret Kemp from Eltham, who received the incredible gift of a double lung transplant in Oct 2025. It was a life-changing opportunity and the beginning of a hopeful new chapter for her and her loved ones.
Sadly, her recovery has not gone as hoped. Due to serious complications following her transplant, she is now back in Auckland hospital having a major operation on her heart.
There is a 24 hour family vigil to ensure her loved ones are by her side during this stressful time. This has a major impact on the family, now suffering from the trauma of the emotional and financial burden.
They are travelling constantly to Auckland, spending long hours at the hospital, supporting Marg and each other through what is unfolding. The impact on the family has been enormous and are now facing a significant financial strain. The ongoing travel, fuel, accommodation, food, parking, and the many unexpected costs of being away from home have placed an overwhelming burden on them. No family should have to choose between being by their loved one’s side during a medical crisis and meeting their everyday living costs.
We are reaching out to the wider community to ask for support. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this page is just as valuable.
Please help surround Marg and her family with the love and support they so desperately need.
Every bit of kindness truly matters❤️
Close friend and neighbour for over 25 years.
Any donations will go towards ongoing costs of travel, fuel, accommodation, food, parking that Margaret and Husband Anthony Kemp are currently facing. And to continue to financially support Marg with day-to-day costs, as she wont be able to return to work in the foreseeable future.
