Standing With Debby: Her Fight Against Ovarian Cancer

Hello friends and family,

Our beautiful mum, Debby, was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. Because it is difficult to detect, it has spread significantly, requiring urgent, intensive treatment.

Mum is currently undergoing chemotherapy in Australia. In June, she faces surgery to remove organs from her mid section. The road ahead is long and physically demanding as after the surgery Mum will face more rounds of chemotherapy as well.

Mum had to leave her job immediately due to severe pain and fatigue. Additionally, leaving her property to live with India and Brendan as she required home help and care. As she is not an Australian citizen, she is ineligible for government support. We are self-funding her living expenses, and the specialized post-surgery care she needs.

After surgery, Mum needs a dedicated recovery space with personal care. Any donation—big or small—will go directly toward, medical and treatment costs, post-surgery accommodation and essential living expenses. If Mum were in NZ, we know people would rally around her with meals and visits. Since her care is in Australia, this fund is a great way to show care and support to Mum.

Our Mum is our anchor and constant source of strength. She’s always been there for others, and now we want to be there for her.
