Support Amber, Stevo & Meila in Waipawa as they navigate 3yo Grayson’s Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome diagnosis.
Waipawa, Hawke's Bay
Meet Amber, Stevo, big sister Meila, and their youngest, 3-year-old Grayson. They are a well-loved young family living in Waipawa, Central Hawke's Bay. Recently, their world turned upside down when Grayson was diagnosed with Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome (LNS).
LNS is an incredibly rare genetic disorder affecting the nervous system, causing involuntary movements and developmental delays. For Amber and Stevo, this diagnosis marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of intensive care.
Grayson is a fighter, but the reality of LNS means he requires round-the-clock support. The physical and emotional toll is immense. Between medical appointments and ensuring Grayson is safe, there is very little time left for regular family life.
We are setting up this page to wrap our arms around them. We want to help them navigate this new chapter without the crushing weight of financial stress. Your donation will go directly to the family to help restore balance to their household—whether it covers hidden costs, allows the parents to take a breath, or ensures they can carve out special time for Meila.
We know times are tough, but for Amber, Stevo, Meila, and Grayson, your support means everything. Thank you for standing by this local family.
