Helping my Sister start over after Cyclone Gabrielle destroyed her home.

My sister lives in Napier - Cyclone Gabrielle hit her hard. "Rivers burst their banks. Taking over my yard and coming into the house. I spent the day watching my car go under and the water get higher while sitting on my kitchen bench. Fortunately two awesome gentleman managed to get a door open and get me out. We waited to be rescued at the Enliven Centre on the second storey. Eventually a convoy of IRBs came to take us to safety. I was taken to the Napier side of the flooding and then by cop car to Mum in Taradale. I’m glad to be safe and dry. But am shaken, and broken emotionally knowing that everything I own is likely underwater."

Everything that was in her house will most likely be washed away, what still remains will need replacing
