Steam Traction Engine Restoration

$570 of $100,000 goal
Given by 3 generous donors in over a year

Raising funds for the restoration of an 1894, McLaren built Steam Traction Engine.

Pukekohe, Auckland

This is a dedicated fundraiser towards the full restoration of the 1894 built McLaren Steam Traction Engine, No. 520. Saved from the bush in 1970, the engine has yet to be returned to steam and back to its former glory. These steam engines helped develop NZ back in the early days and their survival is important for future generations to enjoy. My ultimate goal is of course return No. 520 to working condition and to proudly display for many years to come. The engine needs some significant work carried out which will obviously need funding - with you're support this is very much achievable and I am looking forward to the project ahead and I certainly genuinely appreciate any support and donations towards this.

Use of funds

The money received will go directly into the full restoration of this 1894 steam traction engine to return it back into steam for future generations to enjoy and to tell the story of our past Agricultural history
