It’s been 3mths since Stella had her operation and she is back to normal!!! Still waiting for the winter coat to cover the patch work. 🤣

6weeks on Wednesday. Stella is going for longer walks now, although it’s so hot atm she’s reluctant to walk too far!! Pain seems to be gone, even managed a wee run the other day. Hair is slowly growing back and so has the appetite 🤣

Stella is doing so well. Even a small amount of weight bearing!! She is currently like a newborn baby up all night and sleeps all day! But I couldn’t be happier to have her home where she is comfortable and I can care for her. First vet visit on Monday for a check up. Here she is icing her knee which she seems to love. 🙏🏼🩷
Stella has had her operation. I’m now broke but have my beautiful girl with me. We have now 2weeks of doing nothing then 2 weeks of small walks then up to 10 weeks increasing her walks. Thank you so much everyone! Shes alive because you all donated to my sweet girl. I can’t thank you enough. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🩵🩵🩵❤️❤️🩷🩷
Stella has been dropped off for her appointment. Fingers crossed bloods come back ok and it goes ahead. Also I didn’t know that was a thing!! She wasn’t happy I left. Mums crying
Wednesday the 13th !! This coming Wednesday Stella will be going in for her operation! Mums nervous! But happy it’s being done so she will no longer to be in pain! We went and saw Dr Adam today and he’s been super lovely at Nelson Vets.
Looking at $2500 for her op which can be done as soon as next week.

Off to see Dr Adam on Wednesday for a consultation. See if I can get a different procedure for cheaper. But still makes her comfortable for as long as she has left. 🩵💛
We are waiting for the surgeon from Palmy North to contact us. He is the expert on big dogs and gets them going quicker!! Stella isn’t happy to be house bound but can’t risk the other leg going too…which would not end too well for her. So pain relief, resting and diet. I’m so appreciative of those that have given what they can. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you
