  • Update on Stephen

    Dear family and friends

    It is with deep sadness that we are letting you know Stephen passed away early this afternoon.

    A funeral will be held at 11 am this Sunday morning at Davis Funeral Services - 150 Central Park Drive, Henderson, followed by an internment at Waikumete Cemetery.

    Thank you all for your loving messages and support.

  • Update on Stephen

    Dear friends and family

    We have been overwhelmed by your messages of support and your generosity to raise funds for the immunotherapy treatment and to support Stephen and his family during this difficult time.

    This week we received news from the specialists caring for Stephen that tests show the cancer has exponentially increased. This means that they are unable to go ahead and administer the new immunotherapy treatment.

    Stephen has now been moved to palliative care. We are doing everything we can to make Stephen's days and weeks as comfortable as possible.

    The hospice that Stephen is at is a wonderful facility and they are doing an amazing job to make Stephen comfortable. He is sometimes quite lucid but does spend a lot of time sleeping. He still retains his wit and sense of humour and on occasion he enjoys the offer of the drinks trolley at the end of the day!

    We are sorry that we not to be able to have more positive news to share.

    Thank you all again for your messages of love and hope, we have been sharing them with Stephen. Knowing that your thoughts are with us has given us strength and courage too.
