Creating social re-connection through postcards.
Nationwide
We're about to set off on a bit of an epic cycling trip: 3000km from Cape Reinga to Bluff. As well as chatting to New Zealanders about their mental health along the way, I'll be handing out pre-paid postcards so that people can reconnect to friends and whānau.
This year, perhaps more than most years, social connection is crucial to our well-being. While grateful for technology in helping us stay connected digitally, there's nothing like an old-fashioned postcard to give someone the warm fuzzies.
More donations mean more re-connections (and more weight on my bike). The cost of one stamp is $1.40. If you want to splurge, fund an international stamp for $2.70. Obviously, you're more than welcome to donate more :)
This year, I'm cycling the length of New Zealand and talking to New Zealanders about mental health, and handing out pre-paid postcards so that people can reconnect to friends and whānau.
Each donation will go towards funding the stamps and postcards.
Any excess funds will be donated to a Bike for Kids, a fantastic charity that provides disadvantaged Kiwi kids bikes (https://www.variety.org.nz/how-we-help/bikes-for-kids/).
