Hi Trevor Hone and myself (Donna Allen) have channelled our inner dancers and volunteered our time to be contestants in Strictly Sumner.
Canterbury
Strictly Sumner is a community fundraising event with 10 charities in total represented:
Sumner Community Residents Association, Taylors Mistake Surf Lifesaving Club, Sumner Lifeboat, Scumna Youth/FUSE, Christchurch Coastal Pathway, Sumner School, Our Lady Star of the Sea School, Sumner Skate Area and Village Green, Sumner Junior Rugby, and Sumner Tennis & Squash Club.
All funds raised on the night are shared between these charities however all GIVEALITTLE proceeds go directly to Sumner Junior Rugby Club.
Help Donna & Trevor raise funds for Sumner Junior Rugby Club and PILLARS.
Trevor and I are representing Sumner Junior Rugby as our main charity. I personally am still an active member of the club, while Trevor has donated many year of his time coaching in the past and (as anyone knows him will testify) is passionate about rugby!
We are also privileged enough to be able to donate a percentage of our Fundraising efforts to a second charity.....PILLARS.
PILLARS is a New Zealand charity that assists children who have a parent in a New Zealand prison ensuring they have access to the right support and services at the right time to help them cope with parental imprisonment. Trevor is a PILLARS mentor and is very keen to help their cause and hopefully introduce some Sumner folk (particularly Dads!!) to this very rewarding and worthwhile charity - www.Pillars.org.nz
Remember the more we raise the more we can support both Sumner Junior Rugby and PILLARS. Every dollar helps! Trevor and I thank you for taking the time to read this and are really grateful for all donations.
