Stronger Legs with a Cogy!

Last year I found out about Cogy, a pedal-wheelchair. As seen in my picture, I can sit on it and pedal with my legs to move it. I use the handle (which I'm holding) to steer the Cogy.

When I first tried a Cogy, I fell in LOVE with it! It was FUN! A great WORKOUT for my legs! It was EASY to get in and out of the Cogy! I also feel SAFE riding on the Cogy independently with minimal assistance!

I use an electric wheelchair because I have Cerebral Palsy. This means that I have limited movement in my arms and legs. I use my wheelchair to get around as It is the safest and easiest way for me to do so independently. Whether it be around my home or across town. It is also comfortable for me to stay in my wheelchair for various activities during the day.

Because I'm almost always in my electric wheelchair I rarely get a chance to be active. I require assistance to do an activity of exercise. Like, I use my walking frame for exercise and outings sometimes, but I require someone to be by me at all times to feel safe. I also attend physiotherapy once a week.

I like to exercise my legs and body so that I stay strong and get stronger physically. Being physically active is good for my health and wellbeing. Every time I've done a physical activity I feel great mentally and emotionally.

Getting physically tired gives me a sense of accomplishment!

I am raising funds to purchase my own Cogy. Having a Cogy will give me a physical activity that I can do with comfort and feel safe. As I get stronger and better at using it I may be able to get around on it independently!

I need $6,000 to purchase a Cogy and required attachments. Your money will help me be more active and get stronger legs!
