Parua Bay School, Whangarei is seeking donors and sponsors to help purchase Sunshades for the school’s outdoor play areas and marquees for school events.

The school is focusing its resources on building new classrooms to accommodate the recent roll growth, therefore, is seeking external support for the Shadesails. The funding will provide shade sails to cover the older childrens outdoor play area and the younger children’s new sandpit as well as provide separate marquees for events. The shade sails and marquees will cost in total, approximately $40,000 and the PTA will be organising a number of fundraising activities over the year to help fundraise for the Sails and marquees.

Mark Ashcroft the School Principal states that “This year we are looking to better protect our youngsters from the heat of the Sun whilst they are playing on our adventure playground. Therefore we are looking to purchase shade sail covers which will cost $40,000. If you are able to contribute in any way towards our fundraising & sponsorship efforts we would greatly appreciate it. We guarantee your company will receive advertising and acknowledgement in our newsletters, assembly and on a plaque next to the play area.”

You can either donate money directly to the school for the Shadesails and marquees via its bank account, or via it’s Givealittle page here. Please note: if you donate money you can receive a receipt and request 33% tax rebate from the Government. So if you donate $100, $100 will go to the school, and you can receive $33 back from the government.

Please note: All sponsors will be acknowledged for their support in the school newsletter, school assembly and names placed on a remembrance plaque next to the play areas.
