#2/5 Brachy treatment done and dusted
#20/24 external radiation treatment complete
#5/6 chemo sessions finished!! 🙌
Wow! I’m so close to coming home! 🥰 End of the month is coming up real quick!
I found out yesterday that they would change the apparatus for Brachy which would allow them to specifically target and hone in on the cancerous areas using needles (which I’m terrified of!), but as it turns out, it’s less sore than the last apparatus they used! 🙏
When they take it out, they give me a ‘peace pipe’ which is 10x the awesome of laughing gas. I’m so in love with that stuff. I told my specialist you can literally do whatever you want as long as you give me that peace pipe 😂 She giggled, but I don’t think she understands how serious I am. I’m still hunting for their disposal units to find the remaining lot they took off me 😂

Now I have put down a deposit to have my high tea birthday back home, and it gives me something extra to look forward to on the other side of this journey.
As I walked to Brachy this morning, it was blowing, sideways raining, and dark skies. That was great for me since I’m not allowed to wear makeup on Brachy days. I couldn’t help but be thankful on that stroll as I cried gently. We are given these days, and it’s up to us to make up our minds as to how we will perceive them to be. Are they good days or bad days? Why? It’s raining, cold, some would say miserable... but the way I see it - the rain brings new life, it washes away the mess, it becomes one with my tears to help them fall. It also helps me in the sunnier times of life to be thankful for the warmth as I remember the cold. Life is all ebbs and flows, you need the ebbs to appreciate the flows. You need the hard stuff to help you appreciate the better times.
