A New Zealand fundraiser providing medical supplies and essential items to support families in Colombia after the 7.4 earthquake.
When the 7.4 earthquake struck Colombia, thousands of families were left without the medical supplies they desperately need to treat injuries and protect their loved ones. My wife, Estefania, is from Colombia, and while her family in Cali are thankfully safe, they’ve watched their neighbours and wider community struggle in the aftermath. From here in New Zealand, we want to do everything we can to help those who weren’t as fortunate.
Every donation will go directly toward essential supplies, predominantly medical items, but also food, hygiene products, and other necessities where needed. We will be sharing updates on how every contribution is used.
To ensure urgent supplies can be purchased immediately, most funds will be transferred to Jose Vianor Giraldo Cortes, Estefania's father, who lives in Colombia and is assisting us on the ground. Jose is currently helping purchase supplies locally.
For all remaining funds, both Estefania and I will be travelling to Colombia in December to personally purchase and distribute items directly to families in the affected areas. This allows us to ensure every donation is used exactly as intended, with full transparency, including receipts, photos, and updates from the community.
If you are unable to donate, please help by sharing this page so more people can support this cause.
Right now the people in Colombia need our solidarity.
Together, we can send hope where it’s needed most.
People of the community, my wife Estefania is from Cali Colombia and wants to support her roots.
