Support 15 year old Dani get life saving surgery in Germany

  • Countdown to Germany!

    We are now on a four week countdown to leaving for Germany! Surgery is booked for the 28th of April in Düsseldorf with a stop in Leipzig first for scans.

    We have been learning how to use Dani’s new TPN feeding system which delivers nutrients directly to her bloodstream - a little bit terrifying! The nursing team have been wonderful in supporting us with this process and in helping us get everything organised for our travel.

    We continue to be humbled with the outpouring of support we have received from friends, family and strangers - without you all this wouldn’t be possible.

    Please pray for a safe journey and we will post more updates once we are in Germany.

    We have been completely overwhelmed by all the beautiful messages of support, the prayers, the offers of fundraising and the extremely generous donations. It’s a hard road, but knowing we have so many people behind us really does make such a massive difference. So thank you to everyone who has supported us in all kinds of ways - we could not be more grateful.

    The surgeon in Germany has confirmed they can do the surgery at the end of April so we are now on a mission to get ourselves organised - there is a lot to do!

    Dani is still in hospital with the team of doctors and nurses looking after her trying to get her pain management under control as well as her feeding needs. She amazes us every day with her ability to keep a sense of humour even when things can seem impossible. We know that every day that passes is a day closer to her reclaiming her life back - it’s not easy and our patience is constantly challenged- but we know she will get there!
