It has been one week; we miss you, our dearest Lansing
11 September 2024Dear Family and Friends,
On September 4th, I rushed to the hospital to see Lansing for the last time. She was on oxygen and heavy painkillers. When I arrived, my hands were very cold. As I touched her hand, she opened her eyes and asked with great concern, “How could your hands be so cold?” She then held both of my hands and said, “I will make them warm.” This was so typical of Lansing, always giving warmth and light even at the end, much like a candle.
In her last two months, Lansing was frequently in and out of the hospital. Despite her own pain, she never complained. Instead, she consistently sent prayer requests for others, such as for fellow patients’ healing and for the financial needs of medical staff. When she felt better, she visited other patients to pray and share her beautiful drawings and great encouragement.
It has been one week since Lansing returned to our heavenly home. The outpouring of love and support from the Give a Little community provided financial relief and immense comfort to her family during this time. The funeral was beautiful, filled with God’s grace. We are deeply grateful to Lansing’s two church families- Elim City Church and Belmont Baptist Church for their love and support, making the service possible within two days.
I would like to share a link to photos that celebrate the memory of our beautiful Lansing.
