Support a Mum this Mothers Day

It is true what they say that being a Mum is one of the most rewarding and wonderful times in a woman’s life but it can also be one of the most challenging. Especially when a mum is suffering from postnatal depression, sleep deprivation, exhaustion, injury, illness, isolation or just trying to keep on top of everything.

Parent Aid North West provides free, practical in home help to families/whānau with children aged 0-5 years of age that are experiencing difficult circumstances. We offer immediate assistance in the way of postnatal support, light housework, cooking meals, transport and looking after children so parents or caregivers can get some rest or attend appointments.

"Parent aid where like angels, swooping in after my operation. My baby was only 8 weeks old when I had my gall bladder removed and they were a big support in my recovery. They would come around for a few hours a week and do all the heavy lifting. They were amazing I can't say enough good things about them" - Kate

"I have used parent aid on several occasions now, and I absolutely can not thank them enough! After each of my babies they came to help with normal every day chores that weren't possible after a c-section! Prepping meals, doing some washing, helping tidy up, and with my second helping with the toddler who absolutely adored the ladies who came to help. We are so lucky to have such an incredible service available to families in this area" - Monique

We are a non profit organization who are very passionate about helping Whanau find their feet during difficult times. They say it takes a village to raise a child and in order for us to be the village we need your help!
