Support Joaquin Hollis on His Journey to the Barça Academy World Cup
We as Joaquins parents, are sharing an extraordinary opportunity for our 9-year-old son, Joaquin. Recently, Joaquin was selected as 1 of only 10 players from New Zealand to represent the under10 team at the Barça Academy World Cup in Barcelona this April.
This opportunity arose after Joaquin attended the Barça Academy camp earlier this month, thanks to the generosity of donations. At the camp, he showcased his talent and skill, earning him this incredible selection. Now, he has the chance to play on a global stage in front of scouts from the world’s top football clubs-a once-in-a-lifetime step toward his dream of playing professionally.
However, this comes with significant costs. The total expenses for travel, accommodation, and fees for both Joaquin and one support person are approximately $22,000.
As Joaquin's parents, we are separated, and depending on the situation, either Laura or I will accompany Joaquin. Therefore, donations need to be referenced as either 'Sam' or 'Laura' or 'both' for clarity regarding who will be attending with him
We’ve created this Givealittle page to help make his dream a reality. Any contribution, big or small, will directly support Joaquin’s journey. Even sharing this page within your network makes a huge difference.
Your generosity helped Joaquin attend the camp and get this far—together, we can help him reach Barcelona for this life-changing opportunity.
Thank you for your support!
We as Joaquins parents, are supporting him in pursuing his dream of representing New Zealand at the Barca Academy World Cup.
The funds will cover travel, accommodation, tournament fees, and associated costs for Joaquin and his support person to attend the Barca World Cup. If we don’t reach our goal, funds will go toward a Barça clinic in Nov or support Joaquin's football journey
