Remember Calista, the girl who wowed the judges on NZ Got Talent when she was just 14? Wondered what ever happened to her? Well now she is 19, grown up, finished school Year 13 with NCEA excellence, taken a gap year worked hard to save for her own tuition funds, she auditioned for NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art - in Sydney) Out of hundreds from across Australia, she has been accepted as 1 out of 20 to study full time this year. That shows her level of talent. She chose the full time option so she could focus on improving her craft and talent. Now in Sydney having started NIDA, she has a part time job, and a place to live but it is still proving to be a financial struggle. Calista has dreamt of an opportunity like this ever since I can remember. I am so proud of what she has achieved and how hard she has worked. She never gives up. This is about a dream and talent, a child who has never waivered from what she wanted to do. And I hope by putting out this message and asking for anyone, friend or stranger to all donate a little then we can help with the expensive living costs of being in Sydney, pursuing a dream and getting a top class education to do just that. Why would you want to donate? Because a little goes a long way, a little bit from anybody to help a talented, driven girl bounce off the spring board into life as as performing artist who I believe will go far. And she is ours...From Tauranga, NZ.
As Calista's mother I hope to help her raise funds to support her in her goal of performing arts. She has worked hard, saved most the money, has been one of 20 accepted out of all Aust and NZ applicants. She has part time work in Sydney but as a casual worker this can change quickly. and as her rent is typical Sydney high prices... We just want to have a little left in the tank as a back up. I am not able to support her financially and would really appreciate a helping hand.
The main goal for this money will be for Calista - helping her to pay rent, while she studies and maintains working part time. The whole tuition fee is $18,000. She saved $10k, has a family loan for 8k. If we raise more then it will pay her loan back.

Calista......
"it’s been a ten month long episode of friends but the special musical edition. We’ve all been through so much together inside and outside of rehearsal room 7 and through all the laughter, the tears, the big weeks, the rough Wednesday’s, the ab workouts, the sweating before 9am, and the SINGIN... We’re still just a bunch of loud theatre kids but a bunch of loud theatre kids about to take on the world with their talent, passion and love for what we do. I love every single one of ya and I’m so proud of the people and the performers you’ve become. DMT out ✌🏻"
