After 10 surgeries Archie is now preparing for another major milestone

Hi friends and family,

Archie is about to undergo another major surgery — his 10th operation — to close his stoma and reconnect his bowel after everything he has been through already. This surgery is a huge step in his journey and will hopefully mean he can move forward without needing his stoma bag anymore.

The funds raised will help cover travel, accommodation, time off work to care for Archie during recovery, ongoing specialist appointments, and the extra support he will need after surgery. Every donation helps ease the pressure on our family while we focus on helping Archie heal. ❤️

A stoma closure (also called an colostomy reversal) reconnects the bowel so waste can pass normally again.

A little kindness for archie 17 September 2026

Archie is only months away from another big surgery, and this one will come with a longer recovery as he has his stoma closure.

As part of his next stage, Archie will also have an appendicostomy (MACE) put in place, which will allow him to have regular washouts.

There is a lot ahead for our little guy, and we know there will be hard days, long days, and days where things feel overwhelming. ❤️

So, over the coming months, we’re simply asking for a little extra kindness, patience and understanding towards Archie and our family. Sometimes a kind word, a little encouragement, or simply understanding that we may have to take things one day at a time means more than people realise.

We’re incredibly proud of how far Archie has come, and we’ll continue to support him through every step of this journey. 💙

Please be gentle with him, be kind, and remember that behind the smiles there is a little boy preparing to face another big chapter. 🩵
