Supporting Bruce's Recovery
Rangiora, Canterbury
On the 4th of February at the age of 62 Bruce’s life changed in an instant ,as he suffered a massive stroke. He endured a 4 and 1/2 hour surgery with complications. He spent 2 weeks in Christchurch Hospital and suffers with paralysis on the left side of his body.
Bruce was transferred to Burwood Hospital 5 weeks ago and is under going intensive rehabilitation to try and regain movement .
Hardworking Bruce has always been there to help anyone that needed it and now it’s him that needs a helping hand. If there is concrete to be laid, a roof to be painted, a fence to go up or a ditch to be dug, Bruce would be the first to put his hand up to help and would never ask for help in return.
With no income Bruce and wife Helen are now facing financial hardship and would hate asking for any hand outs, but we do not wish to see them struggling to pay day to day bills including a mortgage when all their efforts need to stay focused on Bruce's recovery. Bruce would love to return to work in the future in some capacity but he knows he has a long road ahead of him.
Any help would be greatly appreciated to support Bruce and Helen at this difficult time.
Bruce is my brother in law.
