Support Calla to study at Guildhall

$5,840 of $16,000 goal
Given by 40 generous donors in 6 weeks

Help me raise the funds I need for my Music Masters in Vocal Performance programme at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London.

Epsom, Auckland

Tēnā koutou

My name is Calla Knudson-Hollebon and I'm a coloratura soprano and composer from Ōtepoti Dunedin. I am incredibly lucky to have been offered a position in the Music Masters in Vocal Performance programme at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London starting in September 2025 —only a handful of positions are awarded worldwide each year.

London’s Guildhall School of Music & Drama ranks among the world’s elite conservatoires, counted by QS as the UK’s top music institution. The opportunity to be tutored by world-leading coaches would be invaluable for me and the quality of music I would be able to live and breathe every day.

All funds raised from this campaign will be put towards tuition fees for my Masters degree. The total cost of fees is £28,310 (or $63,717.03 NZD). This campaign will help to cover the first instalment of 25% of the total fee due on 15 September.

If you are not in a position to donate funds, I would also hugely appreciate your support in spreading the word about this campaign!

My purpose is to sing and to heal others through music and I'm completely devoted to this pathway. I seamlessly blend classical virtuosity with fearless contemporary artistry and am wholeheartedly committed to the beautiful yet daunting career of being a professional musician.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to take a deep dive and explore true mastery of the voice, to ultimately increase my impact through music.

Thank you deeply for your support.

Use of funds

All contribution's will go towards my first installment of tuition fees for study due in September, allowing me to refine my craft under Guildhall’s legendary faculty and bring that excellence home back home to Aotearoa New Zealand.

Great Success!  10 September 2025

My heart is bursting with gratitude to all of you who have been so generous in this fundraising campaign. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We raised a total of $5,840 through this Give A Little page, which is incredible.

I also recently received the news that the Todd Trust has generously granted me a $10,000 grant.

So together with this page and the Todd Trust, I have managed to cover the first instalment of my tuition fees, which is huge.

Everything feels like it's falling into place. I'm setting myself up in London, my visa came through, and I've found a place to call home all in time for the academic year. I'm also discovering the rampant infestation of kiwis that are in London - most notably in the coffee shops that actually make good coffee.

I'll email some more updates to you soon as the university year kicks off next week.

Thanks again to all of your incredible generosity. Looking forward to sharing the music with you.

Much love

Calla
