Help support Eyegum to continue to champion and platform independent music and arts in Te Whanganui-a-Tara and Aotearoa.
Wellington
For the past 10 years Eyegum Music Collective has been serving the Te Whanganui-a-Tara and wider music scene by organising gigs, festivals and events that platform our best independent alternative artists. What started off as putting on house party shows after many conventional venues closed has grown to include weekly free showcase nights, national tours, a multi-venue inner city festival and an annual weekend camping festival in the middle of nowhere, plus lots more.
As a small, volunteer-run collective we’ve had a hard few years, as have many in the industry, with COVID cancellations and difficult economic times. Despite needing to take on debt, paying our artists and crew fairly for all our events has been non-negotiable for us. As gig-goers ourselves, it’s been heartbreaking to see so many incredible organisations and events disappear recently. We desperately want to keep doing what we love, and to do so we really need your help!
Have you ever been to a free Eyegum Wednesday or one of our house parties?
Have you played at an Eyegum show or festival?
Have you come and camped at Welcome to Nowhere?
We know it’s tough out there at the moment, but if you answered yes to any of the above questions, or just want to support a group of volunteers who are dedicated to championing independent music and arts in Aotearoa, please consider contributing what you can, anything helps.
