Delyse Gudopp is a 40-year-old mother of two adventurous boys, aged 7 and 10, who embrace life to the fullest.
In 2021, Delyse faced a challenging battle with stage 2 breast cancer, undergoing extensive treatment that included a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation. Although this journey took a toll on her family, Delyse's resilience shone through as she fought hard and ultimately triumphed, returning to full health—until September of this year. After experiencing worsening back pain, an x-ray revealed a fracture in her spine, which raised concerns given her medical history. Further imaging uncovered devastating news: Delyse has secondary breast cancer in her spine.
As she undergoes additional testing to determine her treatment plan, the prognosis is unclear, and they are facing the heartbreaking possibility of limited time together. In the meantime, Delyse is cherishing every moment with her boys, family, and friends despite her limited mobility and the challenges ahead.
