Support for Finn and Family

    To all our amazingly kind family and friends, neighbours and community over the last nine days you have been so supportive.

    We are blessed and relieved that our eldest son Finn has made the most amazing progress with fighting the meningococcal disease.

    He is miraculously awake, communicating, breathing on his own and trying to get up out of his bed.

    Finny is still in ICU Christchurch has had 2 helicopter rides.

    Having all your amazing supportive wishes ,love and generosity has enabled us to be together as a family and support Finn through this critical time.

    We are forever grateful and feeling positive and hopeful for his recovery and rehabilitation.

    We truly do have the best whanau, friends, neighbours, community and hospital!!!

  • Finn continues to improve!

    Finn has been moved out of isolation, and he is slowly coming off the sedation. In the last couple of days he has open and closed his eyes and even given Melissa a thumbs up! The family are still by his side in Christchurch and will remain there for the time being. Thanks once again everyone. The support has been remarkable and will help so much with the ongoing costs of being in CHCH.

    Just wanted to pop on here and pass on the immense gratitude from Finns family for all the incredible donations so far. Also to say that this morning Finn has jumped some big hurdles and is currently breathing on is own. Keep up the positive vibes. x
