Support for Indian family from Tauranga NZ - Repatriation, funeral and family well-being support

It is with a heavy heart that we, ATMA (Association of Tauranga Malayalee Aotearoa), reach out to you, seeking your support and compassion for the family of Jaismon Francis during this time of immense grief.

Jaismon was a Registered Social worker employed at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Tauranga ACMH. Jaismon went for a swim at the beach and went missing on the night of 20th November 2025. After extensive efforts and resources were put into action by the authorities, his body was tragically recovered on 24th November. This sudden loss has left his family devastated, both emotionally and financially, as they face the urgent costs of repatriation and related arrangements. Jaismon’s family is survived by his wife and their 7-year-old son.

As an association representing the Malayalee community in Tauranga, we are coordinating support for the family and raising funds to ease their burden. Your donation, no matter the size, will go directly to assist with repatriation expenses and provide immediate support to the grieving family.
