Support for local Yorùbá artist, Oluwatobi Adedayo to sustain Decision Sacred Art Gallery, future art projects and endeavours
Auckland
Kia ora whānau! I am Janina Asiedu, a Ghanaian multi-disciplinary artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland, NZ). As a child of the African diaspora I believe it's super important for us to not only support each other where we are at but also support + team up with local artists back home in the Motherland so we can uplift each other! As it's been a rollercoaster of a few years for everyone within their own industries due to covid, the creative community has suffered from this tremendously.
A dear friend of mine Olumide Oluwatobi Adedayo based in Ile-Ife, Nigeria - an amazing Yorùbá painter, sculptor, Indigo textile designer and overall representative of his rich culture has also felt the heavy impact of these shifts in the last two years particularly with sustaining his space and work at/as Decision Sacred Art Gallery. We are hoping your support will be able to cover fees to keep this gallery space going and provide art resources that are needed for current and future projects. Thank you in advance !
A dear friend and fellow creative
All funds will be sent directly to Decision Sacred Art Gallery in Ile-Ife, Nigeria for art supplies and resources, gallery fees, travel costs and future art projects.
